Senior Auditor of the Internal Audit Service |
Main job responsibilities |
- assesses the adequacy and efficiency of the internal control system in the Company; - assesses the application and efficiency of risk management procedures and risk assessment methodology in the Company; - verify compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international agreements, internal documents of the Company, as well as fulfilment of instructions of regulatory and supervisory authorities and decisions of the Company's bodies; - assesses the adequacy of measures applied by the Company's subdivisions to ensure the achievement of their objectives within the framework of the Company's strategic goals; - assesses the implementation of and compliance with the adopted principles of corporate governance, relevant ethical standards and values in the Company; - assesses the effective provision of information on risks and internal control issues to the relevant bodies and subdivisions of the Company; - monitor the implementation by the Company's subdivisions of the recommendations of the external auditor, the authorised state body for control in the sphere of educational services; - monitor the implementation of the IAS recommendations issued in accordance with the established procedure; - advises the Board of Directors, the executive body, and the Company's divisions on the organisation of the internal control and audit system; - participates in the development by approval of the Company's internal documents related to corporate governance, internal control and risk management; - performs other functions assigned to the IAS within its competence. |
Education |
higher professional education in the following fields: economics and finance, and/or accounting and audit, and/or financial management, and/or finance and credit, preferably with additional education in the field, and/or law |
Required professional experience |
At least three years' experience in audit, and/or accounting, and/or finance |
Professional competence and personal qualities |
Knowledge of regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including those related to auditing, accounting and taxation. Preferably knowledge of international financial reporting standards and international professional standards of internal audit developed by The Institute ot' Internal Auditors Inc, International Standards on Auditing (ISA). A certificate and/or qualification in auditing and/or accounting and financial management is preferred. |

1. Participate in organizing meetings of the University leadership members with foreign partners, representatives of international organizations, embassies, and delegations upon request of the management (preparation of visit programs, reception and seeing-off, drafting meeting protocols);
2. Search for international grants and internships for students and faculty; maintain and regularly update the database on grants and application deadlines;
3. Collect, analyze, and disseminate information on foundations and organizations offering grants, and assist with the preparation and submission of documents for grants, scholarships, and internships provided by international foundations, organizations, and programs;
4. Provide guidance to students and staff on participation conditions and procedures in international grants and internships;
5. Organize membership in international associations;
6. Ensure content development for the “International Cooperation” section and its subsections on the official University website related to the department’s activities;
7. Prepare official letters to foreign embassies, the Bologna Process Center of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, and the Ministry of Health;
8. Coordinate, register, and activate Memorandums of Understanding with foreign partners;
9. Perform one-time verbal and/or written tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Candidate requirements:
- Higher (and postgraduate) education in the field of humanities and social sciences;
- At least 2 years of work experience;
- Fluent in English.

Responsibilities:
2) Participation in the self-assessment process and preparation for institutional accreditation and accreditation of the University's educational programs;
3) Organizing the preparation of self-assessment reports, as well as post-accreditation monitoring and external expert commission visits within the framework of institutional and specialized program accreditation;
4) Preparation and conducting of internal audits of departments and structural units to verify compliance with ISO 9001 and ESG standards;
5) Drafting internal orders within the competence of the Department;
6) Organizing and collecting feedback based on stakeholder survey results;
7) Gathering information from structural units for data analysis and reporting to the Chairperson of the Management Board – Rector in areas under the Department’s competence;
8) Maintaining the catalog of the University’s internal regulatory documents;
9) Assigning codes to the University’s internal regulatory documents;
10) Monitoring the accreditation status of research laboratories;
11) Compiling the University’s business process registry;
12) Reviewing drafts of internal regulatory documents for compliance with documentation management standards;
13) Preparing meeting minutes and timesheets.
Requirements:
- ISO 9001 QMS internal auditor certificate;
- Certificate in business process modeling in BPMN notation;
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements;
- Knowledge of BPMN-based business process design;
- Higher education (preferably in medicine, technical, pedagogical, or legal fields).
- Proactivity, independence, responsibility, strong communication skills, fast learner, ability to take initiative.
