History of creation
The Center for Planning and Development of Academic Activities was established by the decision of the Board of Directors of NJCP AMU on May 30, 2022 on the basis of the center for planning and organizing the educational process.
In the year of the creation of the Tselinograd State Medical Institute (1964), the educational department was organized, headed by A.P. Molozhanova, since 1975 - G.L. Tarasova. In 2005, the department was renamed as the department of planning and organization of the educational process, headed by B.R. Dossanova. In the same year, the educational and methodological department was created, which was headed by in different years, Khamzina N.K., Bissenova N.M., Seitembetova A.J., Maltabarova N.A., Kalina N.V., Dusmagambetova A.M.
In September 2012, the department was renamed as the educational and methodological center, in 2017 - the department of accreditation, quality of educational programs, harmonization of the Bologna process and the quality of teachers, in 2018 – the department of quality assurance of educational programs and the Bologna process. In 2019, the Department of Quality Assurance of educational programs, the Bologna Process, and the Department of planning and organization of the educational process were merged into the center for planning and organization of the educational process. From 2009 to August 2018, the department was headed by Zh.K. Bukeeva. From 2018 to 2023 - G.M. Utenova.
Currently, the head of the center is Dossanova A.
Activity

implementation of the University's Operational Plans within the competence of the Center;

determination of time norms by types of academic work when planning and organizing the educational process, correlation of hours between types of academic work;

providing normative-informational and organizational-consultative support of the educational process;

participation in the development of documentation regulating the educational process;
-
organization and coordination of the Academic Council activity;
-
coordination and participation in the work of the Committee for Quality Assurance of Educational Programs;
-
development, updating and implementation of normative documents regulating the educational process at the University;
-
current and prospective planning of the educational process;
-
development of forms of journals used for the educational process;
-
entering the names and content of educational programs in the Register of educational programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of RK;
-
drawing up the schedule of the educational process, academic calendar;
-
coordination of draft schedules of classes, lectures and exams with the relevant departments of the university;
-
formation of class schedules for students;
-
calculation of annual academic load by departments in the context of forms of education, specialties and courses in accordance with the working curriculum;

collection of internal class schedules from the departments;

monitoring of pedagogical load fulfillment in the automated information system (hereinafter - AIS);мониторинг выполнения педагогической нагрузки в автоматизированной информационной системе (далее – АИС);

filling in the relevant modules in the AIS of the university: module "Group of Educational Programs" (hereinafter - GEP), "Academic Calendar", "Curricula", "Working Curricula", "Teaching Load", "Discipline Catalog", "Schedule";

monitoring of the classroom (training) fund;

organization of work on preparation of educational and methodical literature of the university;
-
monitoring and analyzing the fulfillment of the plan of publishing educational and methodical literature;
-
analyzing the submitted for approval educational and methodical literature for compliance with the requirements of normative and regulatory documentation of the University;
-
coordination of applications for elective disciplines of the departments;
-
consulting the teaching staff (hereinafter - faculty) in completing the catalog of elective disciplines;
-
development of new educational programs together with schools, implementation of joint and double-diploma educational programs.
Achievements
-
cooperation with the Department of Science and Human Resources of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the development of GPE 2020;
-
participation in the development of a joint project of the 2017 educational program on the specialty "Nursing" in close cooperation with the MH RK and specialists of the Medical University of Applied Sciences JAMK (Finland). Developed 3 educational programs in accordance with international standards in the specialty (4 years, 2.5 years and 10 months);
-
organization of work on distance learning on the Moodle platform;

organization of development and approval in the EPVO register of the educational program of continuous integrated medical education;
-
receiving a high assessment from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the organization of distance learning at the university;
-
approval by experts of 75 educational programs on the unified platform of higher education of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including 13 at the bachelor's level, 20 at the master's level, 37 at the residency level, 5 at the doctoral level;

participation in the International projects in the field of medical education "Training to Avoid Medical Errors" (TAME), "Transition to University Autonomy in Kazakhstan - TRUNAK", "ProinCa - Development of innovative potential of higher education in the field of nursing through reforming the health care system";

participation in the development of new educational programs "Ergotherapy" and "Kinesitherapy";

participation in the implementation of the World Bank project "Social Health Insurance", as a result of which the educational programs on the OP "Nursing" at the level of bachelor's degree for 10 months and at the level of master's degree were implemented, as well as for the first time the educational program at the level of doctoral degree "Nursing Science" was developed;

organization of educational process on specialties "Pharmacy", "Nursing", "Public Health" on the shortened form of education on the basis of different levels of education;

participation in the formation of self-reports and reports of institutional and specialized accreditation of educational programs;

development and approval of internal normative-regulatory documents: P-MUA-17-23 Academic policy of NAO "Astana Medical University"; PR-MUA-33-23 Recognition of learning outcomes of formal and non-formal education; RI-MUA-84-23 Coding of academic disciplines in NAO "MUA"; PL-MUA-164-23 Regulation on additional educational program "MINOR"; PL-MUA-170-23 Regulation on inclusive education.
