The Team
Aigul Bitimbayeva Zhunusova, Head of the Department. He has more than 20 years of experience in the quality management system, accreditation and management of educational programs..
Zhamal Khairdenkyzy Berkimbayeva, Deputy Director of the Department. Work experience in coordinating organizational support for the procedures of institutional and specialized accreditation of educational programs, national and international ratings.
Kadisha Kusbekovna Asylayeva, Chief specialist of the department. More than 15 years of experience in the preparation, conduct and support of university certification procedures, inspection audit for compliance with the requirements of ISO standards, EFQM.
Daniya Kairatovna Nurumova, Chief Specialist of the Department. Work experience in methodological support of institutional and specialized accreditation procedures, as well as the development of educational programs, educational and methodological literature.

The History of creation
The history of the division began with the creation of the Quality Management Department (QMD) by Rector's Order No. 207 dated September 26, 2006. The main task was to coordinate the efforts of all structural divisions of the University in ensuring the quality of educational services, based on the implemented and certified integrated quality management system..
Key stages of development:

2006–2008 years – The first head of the department was Professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences Kalieva Kunsulu Daltonovna.

2008 – The department was headed by Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences Kostyuk Alexander Vladimirovich, then Raisova Karlygash Askerovna.

Since 2011, Zahira Srazhdinovna Zhumasheva has become the head.

2014 – renaming to the Quality Management Department.

2020 – reorganization into an Accreditation and Rating Center (decision of the Board of Directors of NJSC Astana Medical University, Protocol No. 10 dated 12/15/2020).

2022–2025 – The Center was alternately headed by Zhunusova Aigul Bitimbaevna and Berkimbayeva Zhamal Khairdenkyzy.

Since June 2025 - the division has been transformed into the Department of Accreditation and Quality Management. Head — Zhunusova Aigul Bitimbaevna.
Department objectives

Support for the Internal Quality Assurance System (QAS) and the Quality management System (QMS);

Providing organizational, methodological and advisory support and support for accreditation and post-accreditation monitoring procedures;

Main areas of activity
Preparation and implementation of procedures for institutional and specialized accreditation of educational programs and structural units;
Formation, implementation and support of QAS and QMS systems;
Organization of internal audits for compliance with ISO 9001 and ESG standards;
Evaluation of educational programs in accordance with the approved plan and based on the analysis of the results of the assessment of students' knowledge and skills, as well as making proposals to improve the quality of the educational process
The Progress
- 2010 – successful completion of the certification audit (ISO 9001:2008, AFNOR, France).

2011–2013 – implementation and development according to the EFQM model:
o « Striving for excellence » (2011),
o « Recognized excellence » – 4 stars (2012),
o « Recognized excellence » – 5 stars (2013).
- 2012–2014 – implementation of international standards:
o ISO/IEC 27001 (information security),
o ISO 26000 (social responsibility),
o ISO 31000 (risk management),
o ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001.

2016 – successful recertification audit of the management system (AFNOR, France).

2014 – passing state certification and licensing for 5 years.

2021 – entering the TOP 20 universities of Kazakhstan according to the national rating (7th place among 85 universities, 3rd place among medical).

2022 – 2nd place in the national IQAA-Ranking.

2023 – participation in QS Stars:
o Awarded 3 stars (including 4 stars for employment).

2024 – was the first among medical schools in Kazakhstan to receive 4 out of 5 stars in QS Stars.

2025 – high positions of educational programs in the Atameken rating:
o 1 place – Pharmacy
o 2 place – Public health, Medicine
o 3 place – Nursing
