Goals
To educate skilled specialists in nursing and rehabilitation who deliver high-quality care, prevention, and health restoration to the population. The program focuses on developing a new generation of professionals who adhere to evidence-based practice principles and meet contemporary international standards.
History of creation
The training of bachelor’s degree specialists under the educational program “Nursing” at JSC “Astana Medical University” has been implemented since 2007.
With the objective of advancing and ensuring the continuous improvement of nursing education, the Board of Directors, by its decision (Protocol No. 7 dated July 24, 2019), approved the establishment of an independent Faculty of Nursing within the university’s organizational structure. Within the framework of the faculty’s activities, innovative educational programs — “Kinesiotherapy” and “Ergotherapy” — were developed, thereby considerably expanding the institutional potential for the preparation of highly qualified professionals in the fields of nursing and rehabilitation.
In September 2022, as part of the implementation of the university’s updated organizational structure and in accordance with its strategic development priorities, a new structural unit — the School of Nursing — was officially established.
