Dear applicants for admission to the PhD program!
The documents will be accepted for Preliminary selection for training in doctoral educational programs from 01.02.2024г. tо 03.04.2024:
· 8D10101 “Nursing Science”;
· 8D10102 “Medicine”;
· 8D10103 “Public Health”;
· 8D10104 “Pharmacy”.
Persons planning to enroll in PhD doctoral studies in 2024 provide the following documents to the University admissions committee before April 3, 2024 (in person or scanned to the email pk.doktorantura@amu.kz).
Documents for participation in the pre-selection:
- Application addressed to the head of the organization (application);
- A copy of an identity document;
- A copy of the document confirming completion of residency or master’s degree (for those who have completed residency or master’s studies);
- Certificate of study in residency or master's program (for students in residency or master's program);
- Resume (personal data, work experience, education, skills, courses completed, seminars, participation in projects, knowledge of foreign languages);
- A document confirming work activity, certified by the personnel service at the place of work (work experience of at least 9 months for persons who have completed a master's degree);
- An international certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language in accordance with the pan-European competencies (standards) for proficiency in a foreign language (if available; if not, then it must be submitted to the second stage of accepting documents for study);
- Official certificate of passing the state language exam (KAZTEST), issued by the national testing center (if available; if not, then it must be submitted to the second stage of accepting documents for training);
- Essay on choosing a specialty in Kazakh or Russian (no more than 2 pages in A4 format) (essay);
- Abstract of the dissertation research in Kazakh or Russian (abstract);
- List of scientific and scientific-methodological works (scientific publications) for the last 3 calendar years (if available) (list of scientific works);
- Certificates of scientific developments; certificates of awarding scientific scholarships; grants; certificates/diplomas for participation in scientific conferences and competitions, etc. (in the presence of).
When a complete package of documents is provided, the applicant is given a receipt confirming the acceptance of the documents. When submitting documents online, the applicant must call the admissions office at 8 778 357 94 57, 8 778 985 30 95 to confirm receipt of documents, a receipt is sent to the applicant’s email.
If an incomplete list of documents is provided, the applicant's application will not be considered.
Applicants who have applied for participation in the first stage of admission to PhD doctoral studies make a presentation at a meeting of the Commission for the preliminary selection of applicants for training in doctoral educational programs (hereinafter referred to as the Commission), presenting an abstract of the dissertation research (speech time limit 10-15 minutes).
The meeting of the Commission will be held from 08.04.2024 to 12.04.2024.
Based on the results of the preliminary selection, a decision will be made on whether or not the applicant will be admitted to the second stage of admission to study. Information about the decision is posted on the University website the day after the commission meeting.
There is no appeal based on the results of the Preliminary Selection
